With SuiteMed IMS EHR “Link With” feature the physician can select which test the lab should perform as well as the lab to use (especially if you use more than one lab) and print out a copy for the patient, fax to the lab(s) or send electronically via HL-7 interface. This all can happen easily during the patient exam directly in the Visit Note. Once the lab orders are requested staff can track and view specific lab tests, when they were ordered and the progress of the order.
